About Me

I am so glad that you stopped by for a visit. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live in Maryland with my husband of 11 years, and three sons, Corey, Garrett and Ryan. One day, I'll get my farmhouse in the country!!

There was a life changing event that pushed me into creating my own web store. I could write a book about this experience, however, I will try to keep it short. My youngest son, who is now four, was born with a very rare congenital abnormality of his trachea (airway). At six weeks of age, he had his first tracheal reconstruction surgery, followed by another surgery eight weeks later, followed by a tracheostomy and an eleven month stay at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins. He was a very sick child.

After 11 months, we brought him home ventilator dependent with a trach, and a feeding tube. His prognosis was unknown. Well, I knew one thing for sure, I was not going to go to work and leave him with a hired nurse to care for him. My wonderful husband is working two jobs so that I can take care of Ryan. He had a third surgery a little over a year ago at Cincinnati's Children Hospital. It was a huge success, and now can breath without a ventilator and without a trach! We are now dealing with the possibility of autism, brain damage from the loss of oxygen, severe developmental delay with no speech.

| During this time, I met the owner of a local country store here in Maryland (Cockeysville Country Store). She offered to sell my distressed frames in her store. She was so very helpful, and a true inspiration. I also started selling my items at several craft fairs. Everytime I go into a country store, I think to myself..."I can make this". So, that is what I did, I began crafting in my living room. With the love and support of my husband, my sons, my family and friends, I decided to make a go of it.

This is what led me into creating my own web store. Staying at home to take care of my boys, and doing what I love, creating country and primitive crafts. Thank you so much for stopping by, and please know that any purchase is very much appreciated.
(Thank you to my husband Rick, and my sons Corey, Garrett and Ryan. I love you.)
My sons: Corey (19), Garrett (10) and Ryan (4)..Millie in the background.
